When you’re hungry, there’s nothing more frightening than not knowing where your next meal will come from. So a group of local nonprofits and food pantries have banded together to create Charles County Food Connection.

Now you’ll know where you can find nourishing food throughout the week.

  2. Find the food pantry or distribution site nearest you.
  3. Enjoy the physical and mental benefits of a healthy, satisfying meal.

If you're interested in volunteering, check out the information and reach out today!LifeStyles is partnering with Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission, Rural Maryland Council, Christ Church, La Plata, MD, Christ Church Wayside - William and Mary Parish, Newburg, MD and the La Plata Farmers Market on a new Community Refrigerator pilot program.

Our first Community Fridge is opening this spring at Christ Church in La Plata, and we’re looking for volunteers to help keep the fridge stocked and maintained.

All are invited to pick up free produce, nonperishable goods and other healthy foods and resources!

Did you know that Meals on Wheels can bring food right to your door in Charles County? Eligible seniors and their spouses who are unable to shop for food and prepare meals due to illness or disability may be eligible for this program.

Contributions toward the cost of the meal are requested and may be based on a sliding scale. For more information, call 301-934-0138 or 301-870-3388 ext. 5138.
